A plaque wipes out seemingly everyone in England in 28 days. A small band of survivors struggle to overcome the fear of what might be the end of the world. A very dark, highly recommended movie for people who liked "The Omega Man" and movies like that. The scenes of London deserted are quite effective. Released June 27th, 2003. A sequel came out in May, 2007 called "28 Weeks Later". It was a pale imitation!
