Roger Corman tried to give it a go at the disaster movie cycle, and just about totally failed to make a good movie. Your typical cast of near or used to be stars are totally boring and dont even act like real people. The "action" finally starts an hour into it. Released August 30th, 1978. This movie has an unusual (for the cycle) mean streak: a typical example would be where one of the few interesting characters is saved from being buried alive, only to be thrown off a cliff and burned to death! Bad acting and VERY cheesy effects abound. |
