One of the cooler horror movies released in the last few years, filled with clever in-jokes and foreshadowing. A group of students board a jet in New York, bound for Paris. Moments before taxiing, one of the students, Alex, has a vision of the jet exploding during take-off. He panics and is thrown off the plane with 5 other students and one teacher. The jet does indeed explode, and it appears that Alex's powers of premonition have cheated death. However, Death isn't that easy to cheat. The filmmakers had the bad taste to use the tragic explosion of TWA Flight 800 as an influence, even using the burning wreckage as news footage in the movie. Besides that, the film does offer a very scary airplane ride and haunting thrills! |
