There are many sides taken on the various incarnations of this film on video. The film was shot "open matte" which allowed for TV/ Home Video. When shown widescreen/letterboxed, the top and bottom are covered over giving the allusion of being widescreen. Basically, there are 2 ways you're going to see this at home: very dark and grainy or very bright, washed out and matted. In my honest opinion, there isnt a decent version available anywhere. The Elite laserdisc has 2 trailers and the picture is decent. But not many folks have those anymore! |

The opinion is split on this version. It was apparently taken from a Region 2 master, and is slightly "sped-up" resulting in a shorter running time (which confuses many viewers) and a odd clip to the speech and score. It appears lighter and the color seems better. Still matted and in mono is my only complaint. |
