"The Poseidon Adventure" While the TV remake changed the capsizing method, this version retained the tidal wave. The story is the same-the characters have been changed. The movie was generally eviscerated by the critics and public. Featuring outstanding effects, but their is zero character development-the disaster happens 15 minutes in. The biggest let-down seems to be that the Director, Wolfgang Peterson, was behind the hits Das Boot, The Perfect Storm, etc. The cast is headed up by Josh Lucas, Emmy Rossum, Kurt Russell and Richard Dreyfuss. Released 12 May 2006.
