"Bomb On Plane.... No Jokes.... No Tricks... You Will Obey My Commands!" So says the mirror in the toilet of a commercial airliner. So begins the taut (and timely) thriller. Very controversial when it was released. Apparently a lot of people thought it showed a little to easily how to hijack a plane. The filmmakers, and primarily star Charlton Heston said that the people who do hijack planes were in the minority, and that the novel that the film is based on goes into a lot more detail. The film's only failing is the assortment of stock characters and situations IE: The pregnant girl, The ederly senator, the romance between Pilot Heston and Head Stewardess Yvette Mimieux,etc. This movie is an overlooked gem!
